SZA's "SOS" is entering a new and rarer playing field as the highly-anticipated sophomore project finally breaches its tenth week atop the Billboard 200 albums chart.

The project, which many publications have deemed to be one of the best albums of 2022, has been on a streak since December 2022.

"SOS" joins a rare league of eight albums since 2010 that has since reached ten weeks while being at the top of the chart.

SZA's 'SOS' Billboard Chart Statistics, History

According to Billboard, the album has amassed 87,000 album-equivalent units in its eleventh week in the charts. On its release, it racked up 318,000 album-equivalent units, breaking the record for the biggest streaming week ever for an R&B album and becoming the second-largest streaming week for an album by a female artist.

Of this week's 87,000 units, 86,000 are streaming units, and the remaining 1,000 are broken down into album sales and track units.

Drake's "Views" was the last R&B/hip-hop album to have passed ten weeks atop the chart. The album has lasted 13 nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 since its release on the May 21 albums charts.

To date, "SOS" holds the title for longest-running R&B/hip-hop album by a woman, or an R&B album by a woman, since Mariah Carey's 11-week reign in 1991 on her self-titled album.

It also holds the record of besting the Whitney Houston-led soundtrack "The Bodyguard" for being the longest-reigning R&B album after its 20-week run in 1992.
