It's been reported that "Aquaman" co-stars Jason Momoa and Amber Heard clashed during production.

After being delayed multiple times due to Amber's widely known legal battle with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, the sequel to the DC series "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" will be released at the end of the year.

She eventually lost the trial and was found guilty of defaming the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor last year. Following her death, internet commenters urged that Amber's role be removed from the second "Aquaman" film. She did, however, continue to play Mera.

As a result, many fans question if it was the proper decision, given that the film's recent test screenings were a ratings catastrophe, with stories stating that many stormed out of the theaters because it was so horrible.

According to the Animated Times, the absence of chemistry between Jason and Amber was a major concern throughout the production of the first "Aquaman" picture. They apparently have contrasting personalities, prompting the blonde bombshell to openly express her displeasure with Jason's demeanor.

Amber was upset when Jason Momoa allegedly tore pages from her books.

"He's allergic to not making people laugh or having people engaged around him all the time," even the "Pineapple Express" actor said. Then he began snatching my books in order to compel me to pay attention to him."

Walter Hamada, president of Warner Bros., also discussed how the company contemplated recasting Amber due to her lack of chemistry with her co-star.

During Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard's court trial, he stated, "You know it when you see it, and the chemistry just wasn't there."

Despite this, Jason is said to have lobbied to keep Amber in the sequel.

"Her world has been silent in terms of chances," an insider observed in May 2022. "Even projects she wanted to work on are no longer available."

Jason then came to Amber's aid, insisting that she repeat her role as Mera in the film. The divergence between them was evident again during the development of the "Aquaman" sequel.

According to the Animation Times, producers had test screenings of the sequel, and it was discovered that many walked out of the cinemas.

The film also omitted some items, but the production team still has time to correct such errors.

"Aquaman's pretty metal. I know no-one thinks that, but Aquaman's metal," Jason tells Metal Hammer. "I kind of build my characters off of metal songs. Conan (The Barbarian) was really heavy Pantera, I'd say Aquaman was probably mostly built out of Tool and (Metallica album) Kill 'Em All. Ticks And Leeches, if I want to get specific. There's a lot of Sabbath in there too."
