Drake always releases chart-topping songs, but he regrets something about them.
For years since his debut, Drake has been notorious for name-dropping his ex-girlfriends in his songs. However, the rapper now expresses his regrets after doing it.
On Friday, he appeared on the premiere episode of FUTUREMOOD's "A Moody Conversation." During his appearance, the "One Dance" rapper said
He said he hates hearing "that sh*t," and he feels the same when he heard it the other night.
"Sometimes when I've said girls' names in songs, maybe those are the two things that I look back on, and I'm like, 'Maybe I could've done without s####### on people for age or disrupting somebody's life," he said. "The lyrics are never with ill intent."
Drake released several songs with his ex-girlfriends' names in them, including "Shot For Me" (Alisha), "In My Feelings" (Keshia Chanté), "From Time" (Courtney), and "Club Paradise" (Rose Mary and Leanne Sealey).
Although he did not have bad intentions when he made them, Drake reportedly had someone tell him that the fact that he said it affected his ex-girlfriend.
The same ex-partner reportedly told him that when he expresses his discontent for her and calls her name in a song, she reportedly ends up "picking up the pieces of my own life that I've tried to build up for myself.'"
After hearing those words, Drake reportedly started trying to stop doing that.
Is Drake Retiring From Making Music?
Despite being one of the highest-paid rappers and most-sought after artists, the rapper dropped a hint that he would retire from making music soon.
He said in the episode that, "I'm at the point now where I just want to like, and I feel like maybe we talked about this the other day, but I feel like I'm kind of introducing the concept in my mind of a graceful exit."

Since he had already achieved enough, Drake said he wants to see what a lot of people of the next generation of rappers could offer.
He, however, clarified that he would still work with people or do a show. While he would still be part of other industries, Drake said he would just chill and never force himself to compete ever again.
Drake has already released seven studio albums and mixtapes throughout his successful career. He also has one collaborative album. He also remains the most listened-to artist of all time on Spotify and sold over 170 million records globally.
