The 2023 Oscars is already this Sunday, Mar. 12, 2023, and so far, four out of five nominees for Best Original Song have already confirmed their performances.

Rihanna will be performing her hit song "Lift Me Up" from "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," perhaps the only song from the set to have charted within the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 Charts.

Diane Warren, who has yet to win an Oscar for Best Original Song despite being nominated numerous times, is also performing her song "Applause" with Sofia Carson from the film "Tell It Like A Woman."

Best Supporting Actress nominee Stephanie Hsu will be filling in for Mitski for their performance of "This is A Life" along with David Byrne and Son Lux, all nominees for the movie "Everything Everywhere All At Once."

Lastly, "Naatu Naatu," the hit song from the movie "RRR" will be making its live Awards season debut at the 2023 Oscars, marking the first Indian song to be performed at the show since "Jai Ho" from "Slumdog Millionaire."

Meanwhile, only one nominee has yet to confirm their attendance and performance for the show.

Is Lady Gaga Performing At The 2023 Oscars?

Lady Gaga's "Hold My Hand" for the movie "Top Gun: Maverick" was also nominated for Best Original Song. This is the second time that a Lady Gaga song and a movie from "Black Panther" would go head to head in the category.

Last 2018, it was a close fight between "Black Panther's" "All The Stars," a song performed and written by Kendrick Lamar and SZA. They lost against Gaga's "Shallow" from "A Star Is Born."

Up until now, Gaga nor the Academy hasn't confirmed her performance yet. But there are still a few days left to confirm.

According to Variety, the hold-up might be because of scheduling conflicts.

The Grammy and Oscar-winning artist is currently filming "Joker: Folie à Deux" with Joaquin Phoenix. She stars as Harley Quinn, based on the characters from the DC Universe. Warner Brothers are expected to release the film sometime in 2024.

With five more days still up in the belt, it could be said that the Academy might be holding up the big surprise of having all nominees perform on the last few days before the show.

It is, in fact, the 95th Annual Academy Awards, so it must have been a real task for producers to pull in a big show. Should the Academy book Gaga for performance, this will be the first time in three years that they will be able to have all five nominees perform.
