Metro Boomin is definitely booming, thanks to his newly minted deal with Shamrock Capital.

According to Billboard, the multi-hyphenated musician sold a portion of his existing publishing catalog to the investment firm for close to $70 million.

There are no reports on which of songs off Metro Boomin's catalog were sold off, but most of his releases are massively successful.

He recently released his highly anticipated sophomore studio album, "Heros & Villains" back in December, and the album featured a star-studded list of collaborators.

For one, Morgan Freeman hopped on to collab with Metro Boomin-which left fans awestruck; and other artists who made appearances on the album include Future, Don Toliver, Young Thug, Jonh Legend, Chris Brown, Mufasa, Gunna, The Weeknd, the late rapper Takeoff, and more.

Complex noted that "Heros & Villains" debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, with 185,000 album-equivalent units moved in just the first week of its release.

Aside from this smashing success for one album alone, Metro Boomin has been a mainstay on the Rap Producers chart, claiming the throne for a whopping 18 weeks; he also reigned over the Hot 100 Producers and Hot 100 Songwriters charts.

Who Is Shamrock Capital?

The investment company might sound familiar to some, after all, Shamrock Capital currently owns Taylor Swift's catalog from Big Machine.

The company bought the catalog from Scooter Braun's Ithaca Holdings back in 2020.

Aside from music, Shamrock Capital is eyeing to expand its rights to other entertainment avenues like film, television, music video games, and sports.

Perhaps Metro Boomin's deal with Shamrock Capital might prove to be beneficial to him, as he can easily expand his reach from music to television or even music video games, as it aligns with the "Heroes & Villains" theme.

Aside from this newest development in making money moves, Metro Boomin just confirmed that he is "definitely" dropping a collab album with pal and frequent collaborator, Future.

"Definitely. I would bet on it," Metro Boomin said. "I would definitely bet on it."

The pair have released a handful of chart-topping hits between the two of them, like "Too Many Nights," "Lock On Me," "Mask Off," "Jumpman," "Thought It Was a Drought," "Digital Dash, "Low Life," "Freak H*e," and "Big Rings."
