Skid Row is gearing up to release a new studio album, Dave "Snake" Sabo revealed.

Snake hyped fans when he announced during his appearance on "The BlackSheep Podcast" that Skid Row is currently working on its new record. The music project will be the band's first since welcoming Swedish-born singer Erik Grönwall to its lineup.

According to the guitarist, Skid Row started writing for the next record, adding that there are already four potential songs for the album already.

"[And] who knows whether they'll make it or not. We've never done that before. So that's kind of where everybody's head is at," he went on. "We're really staying in the moment, but we're also utilizing this newfound energy, shall I say, to be really creative and productive."

Snake then described their previous workflow, explaining how Skid Row writes, records, tours, ends the tours, and gets done with the shows before writing, recording, and touring again.

But this time, he explained that everything changed as they are all actively acting. He praised Eric for being a creative and good guitar player before showing everyone compliments for being more open in exchanging ideas.

Grönwall replaced ZP Theart years after he turned people's head on "Swedish Idol" during which he auditioned with Skid Row's "18 and Life."

Amid his success, Grönwall also endured a health issue. He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in March 2021 but was declared cancer free six months later.
