Niall Horan is the latest addition to the coaches panel on NBC's "The Voice" and he revealed in a recent interview his least favorite part of the program.

The former One Direction member recently sat down with Sean Evans in an episode of First We Feast's "Hot Ones" where he answered questions while eating spicy wings.

While munching down chicken along with different levels of hot sauces, the Irish musician said his least favorite part of his job as a coach is turning down young artists.

Niall Horan Doesn't Like Rejecting Young Hopefuls

One of the main reasons why he dislikes rejecting young musicians is because he knows what it's like standing on stage at a young age in hopes of a career in the music industry.

"I know what it's like to be 16 and stood on the stage and looking at some famous dude that's got your future in his hands," he said. (via Rolling Stone)

Horan later noted that it's easy to push the red button and spin the chair before telling the contestant what you like about them, but it's hard when he didn't turn for them and then later give his "rejection feed back."

Although he struggles with it, the singer said it's "full circle stuff."

Niall Horan Would Reject His Younger Self if He Auditioned for 'The Voice'

However, he later admitted that he won't be pushing down the button if his younger self would ever compete in the reality singing competition.

Horan's career started when he auditioned for "The X-Factor" when he was 16 years old. At the time, he sang Ne-Yo's "So Sick."

"I wouldn't have turned, not for that guy," he said, adding, " I don't think I would have turned for myself, put it that way. I'd turn for me now."

The musician also revealed he had learned a lot after his audition as he spent time with One Direction and later became a solo musician through the years, but he insisted that he wouldn't have turned for himself back then.

Years later, Niall Horan is now a successful musician with a new album titled "The Show" coming out on June 9, 2023. The lead single of his upcoming record, "Heaven," is now available for streaming on major music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
