A year after the loss of their drummer, Taylor Hawkins, the Foo Fighters have confirmed a few US and Canadian tour dates.

The rock stars appear to be getting set to unveil who will take Taylor's spot.

Taylor Hawkins Foo Fighters Replacement

According to The Sun, Taylor Hawkins' close friend Matt Cameron, as well as Angels & Airwaves drummer Atom Willard, have been set up for the shows.

Their insider said the Foo Fighters have been working with numerous artists close to the late drummer and the band in recent months.

"Matt and Atom are the frontrunners for the gigs, the first of which is in May."

"Primarily, it will be Matt, but Atom will be on rotation with him," they added. They've been practicing in Studio 606, the Foos' studio."

According to the insider, Matt was close to Taylor and Foo Fighters vocalist Dave Grohl.

However, formal arrangements are still being finalized as of this writing, but The Sun's informant assures that Matt will play those shows across the US this summer.

Taylor Hawkins Death

On March 25, 2022, Taylor Hawkins died of an overdose. He was 50 years old.

According to official sources, the legendary drummer died of a circulatory collapse after ingesting a narcotic cocktail included heroin and antidepressants.

His body was also said to include eleven more chemicals, including psychotropic drugs.

Taylor Hawkins died only hours before the Foo Fighters were scheduled to perform at the Festival Estereo Picnic in Bogota.

Charity Gigs For Taylor Hawkins

The Foo Fighters performed two large charity shows shortly following his passing.

In September, the band performed at London's Wembley Stadium alongside Sir Paul McCartney, Roger Taylor, and Brian May.

Them Crooked Vultures, comprised of Dave Grohl, Josh Homme, and John Paul Jones, also performed during the show.

Dave also told the crowd during the concert, "Taylor loved to jam with anybody and everybody, so this collection of friends and family and musicians is brought together by him and we're all connected here today by that one guy."
