At this point, is Daisy Jones and The Six still a fictional band?

The band was inspired by a book with the same name, "Daisy Jones and The Six," written by Taylor Jenkins Reid, but after it was franchised into a Prime Video series, the band took on a life of its own.

Fans instantly fell in love with the band, the series, and its soundtrack; and they were devastated to know that they would have to wait for quite sometime before "Daisy Jones and The Six" series return for another season.

However, they won't have to wait in complete agony because according to reports, the band just released two surprise songs.

The fans have been begging for Daisy Jones and The Six to release the newly dropped songs, namely "It Was Always You" and a full band version of "Aurora."

Passionate Fanbase

Although Daisy Jones and The Six started as a fictional band, it did not stop fans from seeing them as a real band, especially after the series and accompanying soundtrack came out.

"It's been clear to all of us from the start, how passionate the fanbase is for 'Daisy Jones & The Six'," said Kevin Weaver, the Atlantic Records' West Coast president.

"Never was that more obvious than when the fans took to social media last week loudly campaigning for the releases of these 2 new songs that appeared in the series' final episodes."

According to reports, "it Was Always You" and "Aurora" were co-written and produced by Blake Mills, the same genius behind the songs of Bob Dylan, Fiona Apple, John Legend, Alabama Shakes, and more.

Not even a month since its release, "Daisy Jones and The Six" became the first series to top the Billboard Emerging Artists Chart.

This just shows how passionate and dedicated their fanbase really is.

Soundtrack

The showrunner and executive producer of the series explained the secret why "Daisy Jones and The Six" became such a massive hit, in terms of music and its soundtrack.

"Very early on, we said that we wanted to showcase '70s music, so we have our band and all their original songs, but then everywhere around them, the music of the time is just unbelievable, right?" said Scott Neustadter.

"Stevie Wonder is doing this thing, and then you have Marvin Gaye is doing this thing and Curtis Mayfield is doing this thing, and then you have this unbelievable punk rock is coming and disco is happening and it's just an explosion of music."

If this is how they will handle the next season, then fans have a lot to look forward to. However, for now, they would have to wait.
