King Charles III's official Coronation Celebration Playlist on Spotify included a hit song by Coldplay.

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the late matriarch's heir to the throne immediately acceded to the throne. Months after the event, King Charles III will officially be coronated as the king of the United Kingdom, with his wife, Camilla, as the queen.

The historic event will take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London. Ahead of it, the Palace unveiled the official playlist, which included the songs personally selected by the king himself.

King Charles' Coronation Concert Performers

More artists will be part of the historic event as King Charles III will also hold the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle on May 7.

British press reports, however, said that the list no longer has Elton John, Harry Styles, and The Spice Girls's names due to conflicting schedules. Buckingham Palace reportedly tried to get Adele and Ed Sheeran on board; however, both of them revealed they could not make it.

As of press time, several musicians' names surfaced as the palace tries to fill in the gap including Lionel Richie, Take That, and Olly Murs.
