Nicki Minaj is active in the music industry again as she recently dropped her new song "Red Ruby Da Sleeze" in February, but it seems like she's also venturing out into other forms of entertainment as she's set to star in an upcoming animated show.

According to Deadline, the rap queen will be starring in a show titled "Lady Danger" based on the Dark Horse comic book of the same name. The published material was originally written by Alex de Campi.

Aside from starring in the series, Minaj will also serve as an executive producer for the show along with 50 Cent under G-Unit Film & TV.

Other execuitve producers include Brian Sher, Paul Young and Mike Griffin (Make Good Content). The animation studio in charged of the show will be Starburns Industries.

Nicki Minaj 'Lady Danger' Plot

Per the outlet, the series will be set in 2075. The story will revolve around a government field agent who was left by her team after they discovered a dangerous secret.

The character later resurrected as Lady Danger, she is a futuristic Agent of B.O.O.T.I. (Bureau of Organized Terrosism Intervention).

Throughout the show, she's required to hide her real identity to fight villains who are attempting to destroyearth.

As of this writing, Nicki Minaj or any of the representatives from the show has yet to reveal the official release date of "Lady Danger."

Last month, fans were thrilled after Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice finally interacted with each other online as many supporters have been wanting them to collaborate on a song.

The queen of rap shared a photo of the "Boy's A Liar Pt. 2" rapper appearing on the cover of Dazed Magazine. The musician wrote, "Gag. The People's PRINCESS. catch it!!!"

Ice Spice then responded by quote-retweeting the post with the caption, "ya heard da QUEEN."

In other reports, the "Bikini Bottom" rapper might be switching record labels soon. She's currently signed under 10K Project, a venture of Universal Music Group.

Nicki Minaj hinted in March that she would estabish her own record label for up and coming artists under the hip-hop genre.

Although there is no confirmation that Ice Spice would sign under it, Minaj liked a tweet of a fan who suggested the rapper should join her team.
