'ARTPOP Act II' Background

When Lady Gaga released "ARTPOP" in 2013, she teased fans that the album has many songs and some of it could be released in the future under its second act.

In 2021, DJ White Shadow hosted a listening party for the album at the Scarlet Bar in Chicago where he mentioned the possibility of Act II getting released in the future, saying "And if I could ever do anything for any of you, including making a second version of this album..."

In a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly that year, the DJ/music producer revealed that he was able to listen to over 40 songs from the era which are in the "phases of being done."
