Ellie Goulding is known to write songs that come from the heart. However, there is one particular cause that she holds dear, and it seems like she's finally ready to write about it.

Despite releasing what she described as her "least personal album," make no mistake: Goulding is very much in tune with her feelings and emotions.

"I'm really particularly looking forward to touring because I just know I'm going to enjoy it," the English singer-songwriter told People magazine.

"Sometimes it's tough performing the emotional songs over and over and over again."

A Little Inspiration

According to reports, the "Love Me Like You Do" singer will have to toughen up especially since the inspiration for her next album is about something that will move most people to tears.

"People used to sometimes say to me, 'Will you ever write about the environment?' I used to cringe at that," Goulding admitted. Now, I'm not so sure anymore. It's starting to make me so angry to the point where I think it's going to end up in a few songs at some point on an album."

The singer's passion and dedication to the climate has always been around, but it has probably intensified in recent years-after all, she now has a son who will be living in the very same world she advocates for.

The News reports that Goulding has been getting increasingly worried and annoyed at world leaders' "lack of urgency to reduce pollution and its effects."

Small Steps

Through her music and popularity, the "Lights" singer hopes that more people will learn to advocate against climate change and call for action.

"It's kind of frustrating in this day and age. We just want more venues to be accessible with that stuff, and they're not still," she said. "They're small steps, but if I can inspire every single tour of every musician to go in that direction, I feel like I would've achieved something."

Goulding was born in Hereford, England, and fell in love with music at a young age.

She was nine when she first started learning to play the clarinet, then 14 when she began playing the guitar. By the age of 15, she was already writing her own songs.
