Jay-Z and His Love for the Arts

According to reports, this is not the first time Jay-Z has expressed his enthusiasm and love for art.

In fact, he has done so several times in the part. In his 2008 song with Timbaland "Ain't I," he rapped about Warhol.

""I got Warhols on my halls walls, I got Basquiats in the lobby of my spot/I'm so sophisticatedly hood, S. Carter cashmere premium goods."

In another song, "Illest Motherf**ker Alive," released in 2011 with Kanye West, he rapped about Basquiat.

"When I say it then you see, it ain't only in the music / Basquiat, Warhols serving as my muses / My house like a museum so I see 'em when I'm peeing, usually you have this much taste, you European."

Ironically, despite being a huge fan of the Neo-expressionism artist, Basquiat, the artist's estate has expressed their disinterest in working with Jay-Z.

However, the multi-hypenated mogul simply says that the concert was made to honor the artists and that he is solely a fan.
