The "American Idol" episode early this week contained an unforgettable moment when Katy Perry was allowed to inform contestants whether they would be moving forward.

Yet her drawn-out speeches before the reveal sparked a sense of déjà vu, as it was reminiscent of Tyra Banks' style from "America's Next Top Model."

The "Dark Horse" singer told one aspirant, "The challenging thing about love, is when you love something, you have to let it go. We have to let you go ... into the top 24!"

The mom-of-one then informed another contestant, "We don't think you're destined for the Top 24. It's more like the Top 10!"

The uncanny resemblance between Katy and Tyra didn't go unnoticed by observers, who took to social media to share their thoughts.

One Twitter user quipped, "Tyra Banks ran so Katy Perry could walk."

Another joked, "I'm screaming ... 'but you will be going home ... to pack your bags! So hilarious!"

Many people had different opinions regarding Katy Perry's role as a judge on Tyra Banks' TV competition show. One individual commented, "Katy Perry went to Tyra Banks' school of how to be an effective tv competition judge."

In contrast to Sara Beth Liebe, Katy takes a unique approach: "you're the most stunning girl in the world which is why you're going home because you're prettier than me." Such a statement caused quite a stir on the singing show and was seen as mom-shaming by some viewers.

On April 2, however, a startling situation occurred when Sara announced to everyone that she had three children.

This news sent Judge Katy Perry into shock, and as she pretended to faint and almost fell on a table, Sara quickly replied with a joke: "In that case, I think I'm going to pass out." Humorously, the "Thinking of You" singer responded with, "Honey, you've been laying on this table too much."

At the time of Katy's comment, Sara simply disregarded it; however, after the episode aired, she asserted that the "joke" had not been a kind one.

In her TikTok, Sara declared that "Mom shaming is super lame," as well as expressed her sentiment that women should support and lift each other.

Reflecting on the experience she had recently gone through, she explained: "Having that put out there was certainly embarrassing, and hurtful too - but nonetheless I wanted to use this chance to say something positive."

She added that motherhood can be challenging, making the impact of mom-shaming even more troubling.
