The concern of Drake Bell's brother initiated the investigation into his disappearance.

His family member alerted authorities to a potential suicide risk after hearing from him about child custody issues with his ex-wife.

TMZ obtained a police report stating that on Wednesday night, Orlando PD received a call from Drake's brother Robert, who reported that the singer had suicidal thoughts and wanted to die. He seemed to have no desire for life.

Police were informed by one of Drakes' family members that he had journeyed to the city of Winter Park, FL. His destination was his former partner Janet, whom he separated back in January.

Page Six first reported that the "Found a Way" singer and his estranged wife, Janet Von Schmeling, were going through a separation.

This likely sparked an emergency call made to authorities that were later divulged to public knowledge. Thus, hinting at some domestic dispute between them.

In the face of Drake Bell's despondent claims, Robert had little choice but to contact the police.

Subsequently, a 911 call revealed

what had been happening; TMZ secured recordings of this particular call. These showed that Drake had been messaging his relatives in California, declaring that he intended to "get drunk and hang himself."
