Drake Bell, popularly known for being a former Nickelodeon actor and singer, made headlines over the past few hours after he has been reported "missing and endangered." More recently, authorities have finally gave the public an update about his current condition.

According to Deadline, the Daytona Beach Police Department took to their official Facebook account that the musician is now considered "safe."

"At this time, we can confirm law enforcement officials are in contact and Mr. Bell is safe," they wrote.

As of this writing, there is still no information about what happened to the singer during the time he went missing. Drake Bell, who is still married to his estranged wife Janet Von Schemling, has yet to address the matter on his social media accounts.

Drake Bell Missing

In early reports police asked the public for help in locating the wherabouts of the former "Drake and Josh" star. They took to their page to announce that the singer, whose legal name is Jared Bell, was last seen using a gray 2022 BMW vehicle around the area of Mainland High School on the evening of April 12.

At the time, he was considered "endangered," which descreibes someone who is believed to be in danger due to health, mental, or physical ability, age is also a common factor. However, the Daytona Beach police didn't give any information as to why they placed Drake Bell under the said category.

Drake Bell Issue

The singer, who was popularly known for starring in the hit Nickelodeon teen series with Josh Peck, faced controversy over the past few years.

BBC reported that in 2021, he was charged with "attempted child endangerment and disseminating matter harmful to children." The musician pleaded guilty.

In a statement, Bell said he accepted his plea because he knew his conduct was wrong, adding, " I'm sorry the victim was harmed. It was not my intention."

In recent years, the singer amassed a big following from Hispanic fans for his music. He changed his singer name to Drake Campana (which is Spanish for Bell).

Many online users alleged that the singer moved to Mexico to hide from the authorities when his child endangerment allegations were circulating.

However, it was reported that the musician has been speaking and creating songs in Spanish since the late 2019, two years prior his charges.
