Just last week, Lady Gaga's long-time collaborator, DJ White Shadow, appeared to have teased fans about "ARTPOP Act II," which is the pop star's highly-anticipated sequel to her 2013 album. However, based on his recent statement, it appears that the project will not be moving forward.

The musician took to his official Instagram account to tell supporters that he will "no longer" talk about "ARTPOP," writing, "I am officially finished. Don't ask me about it. Don't talk to me about it."

The DJ, who worked with Gaga for her hit songs "The Edge of Glory," "Bloody Mary," "Born This Way," "Applause," and many more, did not give any context as to why he decided to abandon the project.

Gaga Daily also noted on Twitter that all of the posts about "ARTPOP" on the record producer's Instagram account had been deleted.

As of this writing, Lady Gaga has yet to comment on the matter.

Despite the announcement, many fans think DJ White Shadow's recent move is a hint that the project will indeed push through.

"Maybe I'm delusional, but I feel like this means something is actually coming," one wrote, while another one posted, "ARTPOP ACT II IS COMING!"

Lady Gaga 'ARTPOP Act II' Releasing Soon?

The recent statement comes just a few days after the DJ gave fans a ray of hope about the project as he took to the same platform to discuss the possibility of releasing songs that have never been heard from the pop star.

"Maybe we can release some of these outtakes y'all have been asking for that I also know are hits. #ARTPOP #ARTPOPACT2."

At the time, fans theorize that the sequel album might be released on its 10th anniversary in November, but Lady Gaga nor her team has yet to confirm the information.

Lady Gaga released "ARTPOP" in 2013, and she teased fans at the time that there are still a lot of songs that never made it to the final cut, which made her considered to release a second act for it.

The hyped for the sequel album began when DJ White Shadow hosted a listening party for the record in 2021 where he noted the possibility of the project getting released.

"And if I could ever do anything for any of you, including making a second version of this album..." he told the crowd.
