It appears that Motley Crue will soon enter a new era of music as the band is currently recording something in the studio with a legendary music producer; who could this be?

According to Consequence, drummer Tommy Lee took to his official Instagram account to share the news, confirming that the group, along with their new touring member John 5, has been recording with renowned producer Bob Rock.

In the series of photos, the band members can be seen doing all sorts of things in the studio, like playing guitar, the drums, and mixing the songs.

"Hit that mother fucking record button Mr. Rock!!! Go!" he wrote.

John 5 was previously announced as the band's new touring guitarist, but it appears that he would also be a part of the group as he was present in the recording.

The outlet noted that Mick Mars was not shown in the photos, but it was not confirmed whether he was in the studio at the time or not.

Motley Crue New Album 2023: Not the First Time Bob Rock Worked With the Band

This isn't the first time Bob Rock worked with Motley Crue as he was responsible for producing the classic album "Dr. Feelgood" originally released in 1989.

Since the album became a massive success, Metallica contacted him to work on their 1991 self-titled album, also known as "Black Album."

The Canadian record producer is known in the music industry as he worked with some of the biggest bands and musicians like Cher, Joan Jett, Gavin Rossdale, and many more.

Motley Crue New Music 2023

Just last week, Nikki Sixx teased fans about new music, confirming that he was writing songs with Tommy Lee and John 5.

"The creative process of songwriting has always been the heartbeat of our band. We're gonna go in the big studio next week and record a few off the floor and see where it goes," he wrote on his official Twitter account.

The rock musician added that the band has no definitive plan for their next musical project, they just wanted the songs to guide them.

As of this writing, Motley Crue has not revealed an official release date, tracklist, and featuring artists on their next album.

If ever they released their next record, it would be the follow-up to their 2008 album titled "Saints of Los Angeles" under Eleven Seven Label Group.
