According to Variety, Snoop Dogg's biopic, which will be directed by a world-renown director-and the genius behind "Dear Mama," "The Book of Eli," "Dead Presidents," "Menace II Society," and more-Allen Hughs, is finally in motion.

"That's next. We're starting this summer. I'm so excited," Hughes said on the night of his most recent project.

The director just wrapped up "Dear Mama: The Saga of Afeni & Tupac Shakur." The biopic's premiere is slated on Apr 21, and shortly after which, he will be embarking on a new project: Snoop Dogg's biopic-which remains to be untitled.

Snoop Dogg on a Roll

Snoop Dogg is just as excited as the director is, after all, this project has been in the works for years, but he just couldn't find the perfect mix of people to work with.
