Allen suffered injuries when a man named Max Edward Hartley dashed toward him at full speed after hiding behind a pole. After the suspect struck and knocked him backward, the musician sustained injuries as his head hit the ground.

The 19-year-old was arrested and charged with two counts of battery, four counts of criminal mischief, and abusing an elderly or disabled adult. He bonded out of jail after the arrest.
