After six years, Julie Byrne is finally releasing the follow-up to her album, "Not Even Happiness," with a new album, "The Greater Wings," along with a subsequent UK and US tour this 2023.
Apart from the announcement of a Julie Byrne new album, the tracklist for the said LP was already released, as well as the music video for its lead single, "Summer Glass."
Julie Byrne' The Greater Wings' New Album Details
In a press release published by Pitchfork, Julie Byrne hopes that "The Greater Wings" lives as a "love letter" to her chosen family and as well as an "expression of the depth" of her commitment to everyone's shared future.
"Being reshaped by grief also has me more aware of what death does not take from me. I commit that to heart, to words, to sound," she eloquently wrote.
The music video of her lead single, "Summer Glass" has already been released on YouTube.
Despite only working with her album recently, Julie Byrne has sporadically appeared on other Indie folk artists' tracks. The 33-year-old singer appeared on Leya's "Glass Jaw," Trayer Tyron's "New Forever," and Jefre Cantu Ledesma's "Love's Refrain."
Released via Ghostly International, Julie Byrne's "The Greater Wings" was recorded by the late Eric Littmann before his passing in June 2021.
