"Kill Bill" became the 1,149th No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 since the establishment of the chart in 1958. SZA's hit song scored 86.5 million radio airplay audience impressions, 28.3 million streams, and 5,000 downloads.

Luminate recorded the surge in the April 14 to 20 week after the release of the "Kill Bill" remix with Doja Cat on April 14.

SZA's "Kill Bill" Meaning

Upon the release of SZA's song, it ultimately conquered several social media sites, including TikTok. Critics took notice of the track's worrying lyrics as they indicate extreme murder fantasies.

However, it has since been revealed that the song references Quentin Tarantino's 2023 film of the same name. In the Uma Thurman-led film, her character plots revenge on her boss and his assassins after they try to kill her.

Meanwhile, SZA's song highlights that her ex-lover has already moved on with someone new. Thus, it prompts her to start her revenge story and murder him.

At the end of the song, the singer sings that she successfully killed her ex but realizes she still loves him. She also confesses to killing his ex-girlfriend next after the first murder.

SZA also made the "Kill Bill" music video look like Tarantino's movie by wearing a latex number similar to what Thurman had. The clip also shows her cutting her ex's heart before offering an eerie ending.
