Tim Bachman, popularly known as one of the co-founding members of the band Bachman-Turner Overdrive, has passed away at the age of 71.

Taking to his official Facebook page, the late guitarist's son, Paxton Bachman, confirmed the tragic news, saying his father died on Apri 28, 2023.

According to Yahoo, the musician's cause of death was caused by complications from cancer "throughout his brain."

"He had some complications and they rushed him to the emergency unit and found out he has cancer riddled all throughout his brain," he wrote.

In an emotional Facebook post, Paxton said he was grateful to spend time with Tim during the final moments of his life, adding, "Grab yer loved ones and hug em close, ya never know how long you have."

In a separate post, the late guitarist's son detailed how his father spent time with him during the final hours of his life, saying he received a call from the care unit where his dad was staying in last week.

People from the facility told him to hurry up for him to say goodbye and pay his last respects as he only has a few hours or days left.

The son immediately "hopped on" the first ferry and his friend picked him up. At that time, he spent the afternoon with his dad and looked back at some of the best moments they had throughout his life.

Ryder revealed that his father's final words were, "I love you Paxton, keep sharing the music," before he ultimately pass away.

Robbie Bachman Dead: Tim's Brother Just Died Months Ago

The recent news comes just a few months after Tim's brother, Robbie Bachman, died at the age of 69.

In early reports, the Bachman-Turner Overdrive drummer passed away on January 13, 2023. His death was confirmed by their other brother, Randy Bachman.

As of this writing, the drummer's cause of death has yet to be revealed publiclcy

The Bachman brothers spent their early days in Winnipeg, Canada. All of them are musically-inclined, leading them to create their own band.

Randy assigned Robbie as the group's drummer in the band called Brave Belt together with bassist Fred Turner. Tim joined the band the following year.
