Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are not like most celebrity parents; they don't want to show off their children or have their pictures taken by the paparazzi.

And there's a pretty good reason why the world is yet to catch a glimpse of their children: the couple is protecting their privacy.

Although apparently, this self-imposed rule was broken by the "Games of Thrones" star herself.

"Earlier today, I made an honest mistake accidentally posting a video of our daughter on Instagram Stories," the actress began in her lengthy Instagram Stories announcement.

Turner accidentally shared a video of one of their daughters, Willa, on her Instagram Stories, which she eventually quickly took down.

"We have always advocated for our kids' rights to privacy so sharing this publicly is something that is against anything I stand for. Our children deserve the right to grow up out of the public eye, to learn and grow in private."

Privacy

Unlike the other Jonas children, Willa and her little sister-whose name was not revealed to the public, are kept out of the spotlight entirely.

They are not seen on either their parents' social media accounts, and if there are videos or pictures of them out and about with their parents, their faces are blurred out.

This is no coincidence, though, because, according to reports, back in 2021, Turner called the paparazzi out for taking a picture of Willa and reporting about it.

"I'm sickened, I'm disgusted, and I'm respectfully asking everyone to stop following us around and stop trying to take pictures of our daughter and especially printing them," she said on Instagram.

In an interview with Elle magazine, Turner explained that the plan to keep the children out of the public's eye was a mutual decision.

"You never want to market yourself as a celebrity couple," she said. "It's not that cool."

'Honest Mistake'

While her musician husband is on tour, Turner has to take the reigns and hold down the fort; which is probably why Jonas is yet to issue a statement regarding the video.

Turner then takes accountability for the accidental posting, and asks fans and the media to turn a blind eye to the said video.

"If I ever were to post anything of our kids, know that it is unquestionably a mistake. I would greatly appreciate [it] if anyone who has reposted on any other platform, please delete the video," she concluded.
