Jane Schneck, the mother to singers Nick and Aaron Carter, wound up in handcuffs after a dispute with her husband.

According to TMZ's findings on jail records, she was taken into custody on one count of battery.

The incident occurred after an evening of drinking when an argument between Schneck and another individual escalated to physicality.

On Saturday morning, Schneck posted a $100 bond and was released from custody at the Hernando County Detention Center.

According to a report from the authorities, an argument between the couple began when the husband had difficulty falling asleep due to his wife's TV volume.

The quarrel resulted in Schneck allegedly grabbing her spouse's wrist during their heated exchange over the remote control.

Responding to a distress call, police were dispatched to Schneck's Florida home. Her husband had contacted them after she physically touched him. The officers viewed a video of the incident captured by her husband on his phone and took her into custody for battery.

Nick Carter Legal Issues

In contrast to Jane Schneck's situation, her son Nick Carter encounters legal issues.

A sexual assault and battery lawsuit has been placed on the Backstreet Boys member by former Dream vocalist Melissa Schuman.

The allegation claims that in 2003, Nick carried out oral sex on Schuman without her consent, pressuring her to return the favor.

Court documents obtained by Page Six state that when Schuman was 18 and a musician, now 43, at the time, allegedly took her virginity despite telling him she wanted to wait until marriage.

The pop star's actions have caused 38-year-old Schuman to accuse him of rape in 2017. She claims these allegations are "a big trigger" for her due to the Harvey Weinstein case.

In an effort to seek justice, she visited Santa Monica Police Department that February and filed a complaint against Nick.

However, Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office decided not to pursue any criminal charges due to the expired statute of limitations.

In light of a new Californian legal ruling, the statute of limitations for reporting sexual assault has been extended.

As such, Nick is now facing allegations that were leveled against him by Shannon Ruth in December 2022; she claims he raped her when she was 17 on a tour bus in 2001.

Despite the accusations, Nick vehemently denies them and has since filed a countersuit.
