Last month, many were saddened after Falling in Reverse canceled their shows due to frontman Ronnie Radke's vocal issues. More recently, the musician finally shared his medical condition to the world after consulting a professional.

The rock star issued a statement online, saying he went to a specialist and was diagnosed with "laryngitis and inflammation." (via Loudwire)

Unfortunately, the singer will not be able to perform on his upcoming shows as he was advised to go on "further vocal rest" to prevent damage to his vocal chords.

What is Laryngitis?

According to Mayo Clinic, Radke's medical condition, laryngitis, is an inflammation of a patient's voice box or larynx due to overuse, infection, or irritation.

For normal voice boxes, it would open and close smoothly to form sounds by movement and vibration. However, when a person has laryngitis, it would make the vocal chords swell, leading to the distortment of voice.

This medical condition could be short-lived or long lasting and most cases were caused by a temporary viral infection that are not serious.
