Fans are still swooning over Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck as the pair found their way back into each other decades after their first breakup. Today it appears that the couple is heading in the right direction as the Latina superstar considers her partner a perfect father figure to her children.

Speaking to TODAY to promote her upcoming album "This Is Me... Now," the "Jenny From the Block" hitmaker said her children, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, are becoming adults now and they are talking about life in a completely different way compared when she was a teenager, but she considers it a good thing as she believes their generation is going to change the world.

Regarding her husband Ben Affleck's relationship with her kids, the musician revealed that her twins Emme and Maximillian love the actor.

"They love Ben. He's a wonderful, wonderful father figure to them as well," she said, adding that his relationship with his own children with his ex-wife was one of the biggest things why he's a good father. (via Billboard)

"He really steps up to the challenge of what that is and what that means and they love him, and they appreciate him, and so do I," Lopez added.

After nine years of waiting, fans will be getting a new album from Jennifer Lopez this summer! Announced in March, the Latina icon will drop her next record, "This Is Me... Now."

Elsewhere in her conversation with Hoda Kotb, the singer revealed that one of her main inspirations for her next record is her personal growth over the past years and her relationship with the actor.

She noted that her album captured those moments in time, especially when she fell in love with the love of her life who came back two decades later.

Produced by Rogét Chahayed, Gitty, Kimberly "Kaydence" Krysiuk, and Angel Lopez, the record will feature songs like "Dear Ben Pt. II," "Hummingbird," "Mad in Love," "Greatest Love Story Ever Told," "Not. Going. Anywhere.," "Midnight Trip to Vegas," and many more.
