During the beginning of her career, Kesha was popularly known for releasing pop bangers such as "TikTok," "We R Who We R," "Timber," and more. However, her upcoming project will see a different side of her as the musician is ready to be more transparent when it comes to her life story.
According to NME, the pop star, whose real name is Kesha Rose Sebert, is set to drop her new album titled "Gag Order" on May 19. Produced by Rick Rubin, the next project is the follow-up to her successful 2020 record, "High Road."
The "Animal" hitmaker recently spoke with The Guardian in which she gave more information about her next project, explaining that "Gag Order" will expose the "sides of myself that I'm not most proud of."
The sides she was talking about were the things she initially never wanted to open up to the public as they were scary and made her "vulnerable, and more insecure."
"I share a lot of ugly emotions on this album," she added.

Elsewhere in the conversation, the singer revealed that she would cry for about two hours during the first stages of recording the album and her producer would just "create space" instead of asking her to stop.

She also explained that it took her a while to "put a voice" to her songs as they were "really unpleasant" and "embarassing."
Kesha had to continue fighting to finish the album because the whole point of the new project is to tell people that some things about her are not okay due to her past experiences that weren't great.

Kesha's new album titled "Gag Order" is set to be released on May 19 via RCA Records and Kemosabe Records, which is under Dr. Luke.
It's been almost ten years since the pop star filed a lawsuit against Dr. Luke, whose real name is Lukas Gotzwald, of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, which he denied, leading him to file a counter-sue for defamation and breach of contract.
The musician just dropped two lead singles for the record titled "Fine Line" and "Eat the Acid" late last month.
