Machine Gun Kelly started out in the music industry as a rapper, but he transitioned into pop-punk over the past few years which gained him more fans. However, it appears that the musician is going back to his hip-hop roots as he released a freestyle over the weekend.

Taking to his official YouTube channel, the rapper-turned-rocker shared his own rendition of Jay-Z and Eminem's "Renegade" beat, originally released in 2001.

Many fans were shocked halfway through the video as he seemingly threw shade at fellow rapper Jack Harlow, who just dropped his recent record "Jackman" last week.

In the lyrics of his new song, the "emo girl" hitmaker accused the hip-hop star of stealing Drake's flow.

"I see why they call you Jackman / You jacked man's whole swag, give Drake his flow back, man / I eat rappers like Pac Man / Must I regurgitate and show you who's in my stomach from the last dance," he rapped.

As of this writing, Jack Harlow has yet to comment on the recent song.

Machine Gun Kelly, Eminem Issue Explained

Another surprising thing about the new song was he used a track from Jay-Z and Eminem despite him beefing with the latter several years ago.

According to The Sun, the two rappers have been feuding for over a decade now. It all began when MGK made a shocking comment about the "Rap God" hitmaker's then 16-year-old daughter, Hallie Jade, saying she's "hot."

At first, the public thought Eminem let the comment slide as he seemingly did not respond to the controversial post, but he later banned the singer, whose real name is Colson Baker, on his Shade 45 radio station.

More than half a decade later, the rapper then released the song "Not Alike" where he blatantly named the rock star.

"I'm talkin' to you, but you already know who the f*** you are, Kelly / I don't use sublime and sure as f*** don't sneak-diss... But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie." he rapped.

Following this, Eminem explained in an interview that the issue between them didn't start because of the comment about his daughter, but rather a more petty reason as the "WANNA BE" hitmaker previously said that he's the greatest rapper since his favorite rapper banned him from Shade 45.

The rap legend felt like he was trying to stop his career from flourishing, but the truth was, he didn't actually think about him.

Machine Gun Kelly Never Switched Genres?

Despite being known for his pop punk music, Machine Gun Kelly previously clarified in the interview that he never left rap music.

It all began when he dropped "Tickets to My Downfall" as it sounded different from his previous albums.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the musician said he didn't take a break or leave rap music. The main reason being his lockdown sessions on YouTube gained more views than any of his other videos.
