Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora's "Black Widow" performance at the 2014 MTV VMAs was sexy enough as it is, but apparently one of the two ladies wanted to spice it up even more. According to a new interview, Ora revealed that she originally wanted to kiss Azalea during the live debut of the The New Classic single, but she was rejected.

"I said to Iggy we should just make out on stage, kiss during our performance," Ora said an in interview with The Sun (via Contact Music) "She told me that would be crazy because it's already been done."

It seems as though Azalea didn't get Ora's vision, because she wanted to pay tribute to the infamous 2003 Britney Spears and Madonna (and Christina Aguilera) smooch... ''Britney Spears and Madonna kissing was my favorite VMA performance ever," she said.

If the tribute had gone through, it wouldn't have been the only homage to Spears at the VMAs. Katy Perry and Riff Raff recreated Spears and ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake on the red carpet, dressing in matching head-to-toe denim.

Despite not smooching on stage, Azalea and Ora managed to make waves at the VMAs. Decked out in matching black, sparkling body suits, the wicked women looked fittingly spidery, as black and red clad ballerinas danced around them, creating a haunting, rousing performance.
