Lil Wayne has been criticized after he canceled his Los Angeles show mid-set amid Young Money artists.

Welcome To Tha Carter Tour did not have a smooth-sailing run due to different issues caused by Lil Wayne. Following cancelations after cancelations, the rapper hit the public's nerves again over the reported "disrespectful move."

Lil Wayne Cancels Los Angeles Show Mid-Set

On Saturday, the 40-year-old "Sucker for Pain" hitmaker marked the last stop of his Welcome To Tha Carter Tour at The Wiltern Theatre in Koreatown, Los Angeles, California. Some fans opted to watch the show live; others purchased a live stream pass for $15.

Fans immediately expressed their dismay on Twitter after Lil Wayne failed to start his show on time. The scheduled 9 p.m. show did not start until past 10, during which the rapper finally appeared to perform "Mr. Carter."

He continuously performed until he gave way to his Young Money artists Allan Cubas, Yaj Kader, and Lil Twist as part of a brief intermission. But Lil Wayne caused the attendees to lambast him after he walked back on stage and suddenly announced the end of the show although they were yet to reach its end.

He told the crowd that it would be better to wrap up the show since they were not getting enough love from the concertgoers. A video on Twitter has since gone viral, capturing Lil Wayne as he delivered the shocking news.


"We appreciate it, but we ain't about to be bending over backwards for these folks. We work too hard for this sh*t. We work way too hard," Lil Wayne said. "This my muthaf**kin' artist Allan, that was Twist, that was Yaj; we are Young Money. We appreciate y'all time."

Fans Criticize Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne then signaled his crew that they were done for the night. Some expected him to come back, but after around 10 minutes, the lights came up as people were asked to leave the venue.

The disappointed fans soon after the sudden cancelation, and they immediately called out Lil Wayne for being the "most disrespectful rapper" in the industry. Others also pledged not to go to another Lil Wayne show following the poor experience.

It was not the first time Lil Wayne dissatisfied his fans. Before the recent incident, he also canceled his Atlanta show a few hours ahead his scheduled performance.
