Ever since Gunna got out of jail, he has been flying under the radar. The community that has backed him for years suddenly turned on him after taking a plea deal at the highly-controversial RICO YSL trial that he, Young Thug, and 26 other associates of their label were involved.

Gunna took a plea deal in December 2022 in exchange for a commuted sentence. Not only did the Hiphop community and the Black community perceive taking a plea deal as a sign of surrender, but they also believed that Gunna "snitched" Thugger and his gang, a frowned-upon action on both respective communities.

In a now-trending photo of Gunna, the internet was relentless in roasting Gunna and his new body months after getting out of jail.

Gunna Roasted on New Photo

Like any other person, stress can induce rapid weight loss. In the case of Gunna who has endured almost a year behind bars, the same thing could be said.

As a new photo of Gunna surfaced online, many people pointed out how Gunna lost a huge amount of weight since entering jail in May 2022.

If the said photo surfaced before the "Drip Too Hard" rapper took on a plea deal, he would have been lauded and praised for his commitment to staying fit, but now that he was dubbed as a "snitch," the comments were on the other side of the spectrum.

"Gunna snitched the weight off damn," a user said.

"Gunna done lost so much weight. And he definitely been in the gym since he can't be in the streets...," another pointed out.

"Damn guess i need to go to jail to lose weight," another joked.

However, not all were roasting. Some took the time to defend the embattled rapper too.

"Man y'all leave Gunna alone..... Unfoonk took the same plea and that's Thug blood brother," someone posted.

Gunna losing much weight didn't happen in a blip. In fact, in July 2022, a photo of him shocked people online because of how thin he got in jail.

However, taking on the plea deal meant he did not want to face trial, but it was not a confession or admission of any sort of crime. Taking on a plea deal reduces the likelihood of facing harsher sentences on trial.
