Despite her husband Blake Shelton, stepping away from his role on "The Voice," Gwen Stefani has surprised fans by announcing that she will return as a coach this fall.

While many questioned the decision, suggesting that Blake chose to leave to focus on spending more time with their family, Gwen is ready for her return.

Gwen took to social media with a special clip revealing her name-tagged chair. With a caption reading, "Surprise :) I'm back in the big red chair!! See you all this fall 2023," the famous No Doubt singer was officially set to return for the 2023 season.

The news of her return to the game caused some confused reactions from long-time fans, with one asking: "Why is she going back when Blake decides to quit? I don't get it."

Another fan remarked: "It seems strange....I thought they wanted more quality time for their family. But having you back will be a blast!"

When news broke of Gwen Stefani's return as coach on the 24th season of the NBC singing competition, some fans felt perplexed.

One fan stated, "I thought the whole reason he left was to spend more time with wife and kids. I'm confused."

This will be the first time since its beginning that the "Minimum Wage" will not appear on the show since its inception back in 2011.

It has been announced that Gwen, Niall, and John Legend will return to the reality singing competition show this fall. Adding extra excitement for fans of the show, Reba McEntire will also be joining the panel as a new coach.

However, Blake Shelton recently revealed his plans to leave "The Voice" after Season 23 on Instagram.

"This show has changed my life for the better, and it will always feel like home to me.

"It's been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people, you are the best."

Gwen divulged to Extra that her husband wanted to emphasize the importance of his family.

"He simply wants more time," Gwen disclosed. "Being away from his family for extended periods can be difficult, so he's decided he needs some time at his ranch and doing things that make him happy."
