Kings Of Leon have reportedly canceled a slew of shows due to drummer Nathan Followill's broken ribs following a bus accident earlier this month, according to NME.

After the unfortunate accident, the band was forced to cancel every one of their live appearances up until Aug. 28, but it seems the length of time wasn't enough for Followill to fully recover. Which is why the group has had to pull out of two more in order to allow for more recovery time.

The musician tweeted out the below message to his fans and followers, apologizing for the inconvenience and thanking them for their kindness.

Followill was injured when a pedestrian made way in front of the band's tour bus during the North American portion of the current tour. The emergency stop caused a number of broken ribs.

So, will the group make this weekend's Made in America festival in Philadelphia? We'll have to wait and see!

On another, more uplifting note, the group's guitarist and singer Caleb Followill told Billboard earlier this month that the group is putting together a catalogue of new music, saying, "If you put us in a room together with our instruments it's hard for us to dwell on the past and play something we've played a million times."

The musician added, "We would much rather create, so I think that what we have so far is really fun stuff. But, y'know, it depends on what time of year we make the album; if we make it in the winter time, we'll probably have some sad songs on there, too."
