The Jonas Brothers may seem pretty tight these days, but there was a time that they were less solid than they are now.

The middle brother, Joe Jonas dished out what happened behind the scenes between the band and their youngest brother, Frankie Jonas.

The sibling rivalry went too far with them, and someone getting hurt in the process was inevitable.

Joe reflected on the time Nick was chosen to be a judge on "The Voice," a role he also went for after serving as a coach on "The Voice Australia."

"It was at the most picturesque setting, it was at the Fleetwood Mac show at [Madison Square Garden] and as they're playing 'Landslide,' I found out that he was going to be a judge on The Voice," Joe said. "I was so jealous I cried my eyes out to 'Landslide.''

The singer thought he was a shoo-in for the role, given his past experience, but nonetheless felt happy for his younger brother's new achievement.

"It was bittersweet, of course, 'cause I'm super happy for him, but I'm also bummed 'cause I want that f**king gig!"

However, at the end of the day, the brothers thought that it was better that one of them made it than no one at all.

"We always say we want someone with the last name Jonas to win. That's our goal," Kevin said. "We both auditioned for the same role, Joe and I. It was for Wicked, actually. And we were going into it... and naturally, we're brothers, we're competitive in sports and other things, but when it comes to our career, I think we genuinely both looked at each other like..."

'Bonus Jonas'

Another sibling who had a lot to say about being a Jonas brother is the youngest, Frankie, who was often referred to by his elder brothers as the "bonus Jonas."

"A lot of my problem with being in the public eye was that I was seen as this commodified vision of myself," the 22-year-old explained.

"It really became a serious issue for me. A lot of that perpetuated the idea that I was just this meme."

These days, Frankie has launched his own music career, and has a solid fanbase who supports him and his music, without seeing him as another Jonas brother.
