Bareilles shared this exciting news at the BroadwayWorld exclusively during the premiere.

Sara Bareilles New Music Coming Too?

There's no news if Bareilles will release some new pop songs too - although last time we heard she has already fully transitioned to a broadway personality.

Bareilles, who is 43 years old, will undoubtedly continue to be a unique type of split celebrity. Pop listeners who are now in their thirties will continue to recognize her as the singer-songwriter of two massive successes, "Love Song" from 2007 and "Brave" from 2013. She will always be remembered as the slightly melancholy girl with long brown hair who spawned earworms from her piano singing how she won't write a love song just because the guy needs to hear one.

During those years, Bareilles was frequently compared to Taylor Swift, another singer-songwriter with a similar message for the mass market: that sensitive young women were no longer dupe material. "Love Song" and "Brave" were both certified triple platinum.

During a video interview at the time of "Love Song" with the London Daily Mirror, the interviewer inquired about the singer's musical approach. "Piano-based pop soul, I guess," Bareilles replied in a voice so soft that one must lean in to hear her. Her chestnut hair was braided, and she was wearing a floral-patterned shirt. She was 28 years old but appeared much younger.
