As per the Daily Mail UK, the couple was seen doing PDA at the produce aisle in Whole Foods shortly after the actress slash model was heavily criticized online for her controversial role in HBO's newest series "The Idol."
Not only was there excessive PDA for a supermarket, reports also note that Depp was bra-less and wearing a crop top, which only seemed to have infuriated netizens even further.
They claim that Depp was acting as if she was the real-life version of her character in "The Idol," Jocelyn.

"The Idol" is The Weeknd and Sam Levinson's new drama series, which has received a lot of backlash and criticism before it even premiered earlier this month.
According to reports, despite all the hate, the first episode of the series garnered more views than other HBO series like "Euphoria" and "The White Lotus" after just a week of its premiere.
The recent development of "The Idol" performing well sent shockwaves throughout the Internet, after all, many criticized and denounced it online.
In fact, the hate was so intense that there was a rumor that the series would not be getting a second season, which HBO denied.
"It is being misreported that a decision on a second season of The Idol has been determined," an official account for HBO announced. "It has not, and we look forward to sharing the next episode with you Sunday night."
The hate surrounding "The Idol" has extended to its cast, apparently, because Depp has faced her fair share of criticisms before and after the first episode aired.
