The finale of "The Idol" just aired earlier this week and fans have different opinions over the entire series. However, one thing is certain, many online users were impressed with Troye Sivan as he finally shared his vocal skills for the last time on the show.

According to Rolling Stone, the musician did a heartwarming cover of the song "My Sweet Lord" by the late guitarist and member of the Beatles, George Harrison.

In the final episode, Sivan along with co-stars Lily Rose-Depp and others performed individual performances in the living room to prove that they are worthy of going on tour.

The former YouTuber's character, Xavier, ended up becoming an opening act for Jocelyn, played by Depp.

The song, which is now a part of the official soundtrack, was produced by Mike Dean and The Weeknd, both of which appeared in the TV series as himself and Tedros respectively.

In addition to Sivan, other tracks were also released by the "Save Your Tears" musician including "Dollhouse" by him and Depp, and "Crocodile Tears" by Suzanna Son.

The "Blue Neighbourhood" singer celebrated the season finale by sharing photos from the show on his official Instagram account, as well as behind the scenes snaps with his co-stars, including Jennie of BLACKPINK.

"love all of my crazy crazy girls. thanks for the journey of a lifetime," he wrote in the caption.

Troye Sivan NEW Song 2023: 'Rush' Coming Out Next Week

Troye Sivan has been teasing his comeback single titled "Rush" for weeks now and there have been several promotions plastered in different cities across the United States.

He first teased the track last month by sharing a compilation of his old YouTube videos mixed with music videos he has released in the past.

In the caption, he explained that he didn't mean to take five years to create a new album because the "Bloom" tour happened, the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as his appearance on "The Idol."

"Enough excuses now. Enough saying 'soon' this is for YOU and it starts NOWWWW," he told fans.

"Rush" will be available for streaming on major music platforms starting on July 13, 2023.
