Fans of Arctic Monkeys are expressing cold feet in attending the highly-awaited music festival after the band recently announced that their only Ireland concert was canceled because of a rather crucial illness.

Alex Turner, the band's beloved vocalist, has been suffering from acute laryngitis, which prompted the band to cancel the Arctic Monkey Dublin concert on Jun. 20, 2023.

Arctic Monkeys Dublin Concert Canceled

In a statement shared on the Instagram page, the Sheffield-formed band revealed that their only Ireland concert this year had been canceled, particularly noting that it was not postponed.

"We are extremely sorry to announce the cancellation of Arctic Monkeys' show at Marley Park in Dublin Tomorrow," the statement read. "Alex is suffering from acute Laryngitis and, following medical advice, has been ordered to rest."

The band has apologized for the "huge disappointment" that the cancellation has caused their Irish fans. Supposedly, Arctic Monkeys were supposed to perform at the Marlay Park in Dublin, Ireland, on Jun. 20, 2023.

Meanwhile, refunds for the canceled Arctic Monkeys Dublin concert will be available from the ticket's point of purchase, in this case, Live Nation and Ticketmaster, within the next six business days.

The surprising case of laryngitis had Artictic Monkeys fans worried if the band will still make it in time for the upcoming Glastonbury Festival on Jun. 23, 2023.

Will Arctic Monkeys Perform At Glastonbury Festival 2023?

The indie veterans are the scheduled Pyramid Stage closer on the Day 1 of the Glastonbury Festival.

Because of Alex Turner's laryngitis, fans are getting cold feet whether to still attend the festival without them.

"How long do you need to recover from laryngitis? Asking for a headliner," a fan asked on Twitter.

"Arctic monkeys cancelling ???? better be okay for glasto pls pls pls," another manifested.

"Obviously Alex Turner's health comes first but if the Arctic Monkeys have to pull out of Glastonbury I will be bereft," someone shared.

As of this writing, it has not been revealed whether Arctic Monkeys will still play at the Glastonbury Festival.

According to The Mayo Clinic, acute Laryngitis, the one that Alex Turner was diagnosed "goes away on its own in a week or two." Whether Turner can recover from that within the next three days, we have yet to know.
