Jennie Gets Support From International Fans

While the KPOP idol's reputation in South Korea may be in danger because of "The Idol," international fans insist that Jennie caused anything but "societal harm."

"But ya'll never speak on 'societal harm' when [boy group] members get exposed as rapists, pedophiles, and criminals ... oh okay!" A fan angrily wrote about the double standards in the country.

"I'm not a fan of Jennie or the show but I've watched ep 3 and the scene everyone is so mad about is her dancing for literally less than a 10 seconds montage, I don't see how she's causing "societal problem" when she barely even has that much screen time."

As of this writing, neither Jennie nor YG Entertainment have issued any statements regarding the hate or the KPOP idol's future or current participation in the HBO series.
