Are Guns N' Roses' new music coming this year?

The Axl Rose-led band marked the first show of its 2023 world tour at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The more than 30-song setlist also included rarities that the band had not played over a few years or decades.

Although the Guns N' Roses 2023 world tour started, fans remained hopeful they would receive a new song from the band.

Guns N' Roses New Song Already in Process?

Guns N' Roses will officially start their European and UK leg through a performance at Glastonbury 2023 on Saturday before they wrap up in mid-August ahead of the North American run.

While the band remains in Europe, Urban Sound Studios in Oslo, Norway, recently hyped the fans after it shared a photo of Rose visiting the place alongside Slash. Their appearance sparked rumors that they might collaborate on a new Guns N' Roses song.

"We got to hang out with these 2 rock legends in the studio today," Urban Sound Studios captioned its post, featuring a photo with Rose and Slash. "Really cool guys! (The two in the middle..) The band wanted a nice studio with a variety of speakers and headphones to listen to new mixes before they head for Glastonbury."

The studio also hinted that the new mixes sounded "awesome," exciting fans even more.

While Rose and Slash are yet to release the details regarding their visit, fans took to Twitter and Reddit to express their hopes for Guns N' Roses to release new music.

The photo, which has been reposted on Reddit, received comments from fans who presumed that the duo listened to the new music they created. They also hoped it was a sign the band had been recording finishing touches on the potential new album.

Guns N' Roses has not released any album or song since the four-song EP, "Hard Skool," in February 2022.

Guns N' Roses Perform Unreleased Song During Soundcheck

Before Rose and Slash's studio visit, Setlist.fm confirmed that the band performed the unreleased song, "Perhaps" during their soundcheck before a Tel Aviv, Israel show.

Despite playing it that night, Consequence reported that the song did not ultimately make it to the official setlist.
