Fans have been waiting for Madonna's massive "Celebration Tour" which was set to kick off next month, but alarming news has been taking the online world by storm as the pop star was reportedly hospitalized; what happened to the musician?

Supporters are clueless and puzzled as to what happened to the pop royalty and it seems like there are answers already. Sources spoke with Page Six to share what has been happening behind the scenes of the concert.

Per the insider, the musician had been "putting in 12-hour days" so she could be her best in her upcoming shows.

"She was strenuously rehearsing and putting in the work," the source noted.

Madonna was reportedly rehearsing at the Nassau Coliseum for weeks and since the venue had an event scheduled for the weekend, employees were not surprised that the songstress was not present.

However, they were shocked upon finding out that she had been hospitalized which they only found out on the internet.

Madonna Hospitalized: What Happened to the Pop Star?

The "Material Girl's" manager, Guy Oseary, took to his official Instagram account to share an official announcement regarding the incident.

Explaining what happened to Madonna, the manager said she developed "a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU" on Saturday.

Regarding the musician's condition today, Oseary told fans that "her health is improving" but is still under medical care and a full recovery should be expected soon.

Unfortunately, due to the medical emergency, Madonna's team had no choice but to "pause all commitments" including her "Celebration Tour."

The manager concluded the post by telling fans that they will share further updates about a new start date and rescheduled shows.

Madonna's Rumored Boyfriend Speaks Out

After the news went viral on social media, the musician's rumored boyfriend, boxer Josh Popper, took to the social media paltform to share his sentiments.

Although the NYC-based athlete didn't directly react to the hospitalization, many fans speculated that it was about Madonna.

In a lengthy post, the boxer shared a quote, telling his followers to give themselves permission to "live a big life" and "Stop playing small" as they are meant for "greater things." (via The Sun)

As of this writing, Popper has not confirmed whether the post was about his rumored girlfriend or not.
