After five years of waiting, Barbz finally got the biggest treat of the decade as Nicki Minaj announced the official title and release date of her upcoming album this 2023; check out all the details below!

The female rapper took to her official Twitter account and other social media profiles to share the surprising announcement, writing that she's been looking for the right time to tell her supporters the shocking news.

Initially, the "Super Bass" rapper shared that the official release date of her fifth studio album would be on October 20, 2023.

However, she had to shift it "due to some really exciting news" that she would be sharing with the world at a later time.

Despite the record being pushed back, the musician teased her followers that "it'll be WELL WORTH THE WAIT" in all caps.

With that being said, Nicki Minaj's new album would drop on November 17, 2023 and the title is "Pink Friday 2," seemingly a sequel to her first album ever, originally released in 2010.

Later in the post, the "Fly" hitmaker expressed her gratitude to her fans, also known as Barbz, for their support through the years and she noted that there were times when she felt she didn't deserve "all that you have poured into me."

"I love you guys so much. I am so grateful for the years of support & love you guys have given me," she added.

Minaj, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj, also shared that she will be going on tour around the first quarter of 2024.

Speaking about the official album cover, the musician assured fans that she will be sharing it in the future.

As of this writing, Nicki Minaj has yet to share more details such as the official tracklist, collaborations, tour dates, and more.

Nicki Minaj Pays Homage to the Original 'Pink Friday'

The upcoming album seems to be a love letter to her first album ever, "Pink Friday," which was released on November 22, 2010.

In the post, the mother of one shared an outtake from the original album photoshoot which shows her sitting on the floor with her iconic tulle outfit, a pair pink platform boots, and her signature bubblegum pink wig.

Despite the musician not releasing an album for the past five years, she had been collaborating with several musicians, including Ice Spice for the track "Barbie World" as part of "Barbie the Movie's" official soundtrack.
