Bummer ... just when we thought everybody dug Spotify!

According to a recent interview from Vulture, former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has got a beef with the music streaming juggernaut. The publication notes that Plant is not particularly a fan of the fact that the service streams his former band's music, largely because he believes the sound quality to be quite subpar.

The singer describes the sound on Spotify songs to be "a hell of a compromise" given all the hard work that goes into making the actual sound.

When asked his opinion on original recordings being listened to in compressed audio, Plant responded, claiming that it does bother him:

"I don't chamption too many things," he notes, but I do champion the sound of music. It's a hell of a compromise. For example, with Lullaby ... and the Ceaseless Roar – never mind Zeppelin – I spend a lot of time making sure the vinyl sounds really good, so people have that option. But it is slightly heartbreaking to think that anything can be dismissed sonically and put to the sword by the confines digitalized, computerized sound reproduction."

He ended the comment, saying, "It's hell."

The rest of Plant's interview with Vulture discussed touring and his new solo album, Lullaby... and the Ceaseless Roar, which drops this coming Sept. 8. The album sits as Plant's tenth solo album following 2010's Band of Joy.

On touring, the legend claimed that he still loves it after all these years, saying, "I wouldn't' do six weeks of festivals in Europe if I didn't like it."
