Since he slapped Chris Rock in the face at the 2022 Academy Awards, Will Smith has catapulted to infamy and notoriety. People who have shown love, adoration, and respect to him before slowly faded because of the surprising display of violence and disrespect that he has shown on national television.
People have grown less and less fond of Smith because of this. In a recent joke that he threw to his son Jaden Smith, many seemed to think that it was weird and embarrassing.
Will Smith Birthday Greeting For Jaden Smith
In a rather touching Instagram post about his son's birthday, Will Smith posted a photo of the two of them together hugging.
"Happy Birthday, J-Diggy. It's crazy that you're 25?!?! When I was 25 I had a 2 yr. old... I'm just sayin'... Wha's up? What you doin' over there?" he greeted, even saying that it was the best photo he and his son had together.
At first glance, the greeting seemed to be very personal. However, people in the comment section pointed out the undertones of Smith's statement.
Many believe that Will is shaming Jaden for not having kids at his age, similar to what he had back when he was of the same age. For reference, Smith had his eldest son, Trey Smith back then in 1992. He was 25 years old when Trey was 2.
"Our generation waiting til we grown ass adults before kids lol," a user said.
"Will wants grandkids. People wait til 40 to have kids now," another commented.
"These adults kids aren't having any kids anytime soon they're enjoying life as they should," someone advised.
"He's doing it Right! Don't listen to your father on this one @c.syresmith," one posted.
Jada, on the other hand, greeted Jaden through a carousel of photos. Jada shared a photo of her holding a then infant Jaden and a photo of Jaden in a red-carpet event, all grown up already.

Jaden Smith Now 2023
Born on Jul. 8, 1998, Jaden Smith is now 25 years old. Very recently, he was in attendance at the star-studded Louis Vuitton fashion show in Paris along with his sister, Willow Smith.
As for his music, it has not yet been announced whether he would continue making music. The last time he did was in 2020 when he released "CTV3: Cool Tape Vol. 3."
