Fans in Perth were astonished when US popstar Lizzo made a reference to Taylor Swift amid rumors that the two musicians were at odds. Lizzo has always been brave and vocal though, so there are no surprises there.

The best way to end an alleged feud is to just shut down all talks about it, instead of letting the media run with it, after all.

Many of Taylor's followers think the 35-year-old "About Damn Time" singer was referring to their idol when she made a critical remark about another performer on Instagram live earlier this month.

Lizzo could be remembered to have said the most popular person of today ain't even similar to what Beyonce is doing and fans were quick to say she was shading Swift, which is not that unlikely since Swift is very, very popular.

"The Wildest Dreams: hitmaker has lately conquered the world with record-breaking sales for her Era's tour, and she presently rules the charts, so Swifties felt she was referring to Taylor.

During the first performance of her The Special Tour on Friday at Perth's RAC Arena, Lizzo made mention to their argument and insisted that there is no animosity between them. The remark was made in the intermission between songs when Lizzo opted to talk to the crowd and read some fan signs.

One of the signs made reference to the feud because it read, "I chose you over Taylor."

Lizzo was quick to say thank you to the fan but also said she's a fan of Taylor and there is no beef between them.

Then Lizzo made a joke about the fan getting tickets to her show so she wouldn't have to choose between her and the Love Story singer. The American celebrity then assured the fan that she was joking about the tickets before signing her autograph.

Lizzo dazzled the crowd with her chart-topping tunes in another performance during the show. The pop sensation crammed her well-known curves into a leather bodysuit with fringed details and neon green embellishments. She captured the audience's attention by covering an Australian classic, Men at Work's "Down Under," on her flute.

She also dazzled the audience with a performance of Coldplay's classic song Yellow, showcasing her powerful voice.
