Many celebrities and artists from the music industry have been speaking out against Jason Aldean for his controversial music video. To clarify things, the musician has finally broken his silence; check out what he has to say below.

According to News 5 Cleveland, the singer's new music video for his song "Try That In A Small Town" features several scenes of protesters having an altercation with authorities following the death of George Floyd three years ago.

There were also some shots that showed the American flag being burned down.

To defend himself for the visuals of his new track, the musician took to social media to share the real meaning of the song and the music video, claiming that it has nothing to do with race.

He began the post by saying that he had been accused of "releasing a pro-lynching song and was subject to the comparison that I was not too pleased with the nationwide BLM protests."

Aldean added that there was not a single lyric in the track that references race and the music video doesn't have any clip that isn't real news footage.

Later on, he noted that he tries to respect others to have their own opinion and interpretation of his music, but he believes that the recent call out that he received from fans and public figures "goes too far."

Explaining the meaning behind the track, he noted that his song refers to the "feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief."

Aldean concluded his statement by noting that his political views have been out in the open air for a long time now and not everyone agrees with him but "the desire for it to- that's what this song is about."

The recent news comes after Jason Aldean canceled his show over the weekend even though he already performed a handful of songs.

According to Consequence, the musician suffered a heatstroke and he shared an explanation on Instagram, saying he was playing golf hours before the show and he had to cancel the show because of dehydration and heat exhaustion combined."

Following the concert, he was immediately treated with two IVs and he felt that he was good enough to continue his other scheduled concerts.
