Danny Elfman is one of the most prolific songwriters, composers, and percussionists in recent memory. With his fame, influence, and power, in the industry, he attracted a lot of followers and became an inspiration to many younger artists.

Among these is Grammy-nominated composer and pianist Nomi Abadi, who is now accusing him of failing to fulfill to pay his settlement of $830,000 after she claimed to have been sexually harassed by the 70-year-old music giant.

Danny Elfman Failed To Pay Nomi Abadi

Based on a Rolling Stone expose, Nomi Abadi is suing Danny Elfman for allegedly not fulfilling the settlement they both agreed upon in 2018. Apparently, Abadi and Elfman settled what is supposed to be a huge sexual misconduct case against the prolific film and television composer.

According to a report, Elfman, 30 years old at the time, claimed that Elfman "exposed himself" and masturbated in front of her without consent multiple times. In November 2017, Abadi sought the help of the Los Angeles Police Department and reported Elfman for "indecent exposure."

As of this writing, the LAPD confirmed to the publication that they were "unable to locate the report, and that the department has "no information to provide and no statement."

The two then entered into an agreement in 2018 with Elfman agreeing to pay her $830,000 in installments made in four different categories over the course of five years totaling $830,000.00, including signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

However, now, Abadi is going public after Elfman failed to pay two $42,500 installments in July 2019 and 2021.

Did Danny Elfman Harass Nomi Abadi?

According to Elfman's response to the complaint, he did not.

"Ms. Abadi's allegations are simply not true. I allowed someone to get close to me without knowing that I was her 'childhood crush' and that her intention was to break up my marriage and replace my wife. When this person realized that I wanted distance from her, she made it clear that I would pay for having rejected her," Elfman said. He also clarified that his relationship with Abadi was a "platonic one."

They also pointed out that the decision to settle the sexual misconduct dispute was made for Elfman's reputation not to be tainted by being included in the #MeToo movement.

"When faced with threats from the other party to go public with untruths at the height of the #MeToo movement, [Elfman] faced the impossible choice between settling and continuing his career and earning a living for his family or deciding to fight what at the time was an unwinnable battle to tell the truth - Danny chose his family," Elfman's representative claimed.

As of this writing, Abadi declined to comment on the matter.
