The BeyHive need not to worry if they would be coming home late as she paid for an extra hour to keep the DC Metro running at the wee hours of the night.

Beyonce has always been an understanding and generous person, so her doing that big move is no surprise!

Beyonce Paid For DC Metro During "Renaissance' Stop

According to a Variety report, Beyonce paid an extra $100,000 to keep train stations running for an extra hour in Washington D.C. last Aug. 6, 2023 due to the inclement weather conditions that happened during the tour stop.

Beyonce performed in front of a packed FedEx Field on the said date. However, because of the heavy rain and lightning in the area, the field was forced to house people, which would end up being late for the metro.

"Due to inclement weather that may delay the start of tonight's Renaissance World Tour at FedExField, Metro will extend the last train by an extra hour beyond the extended closing previously announced," a press release from the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority read. "The additional hour will be funded by the Tour to cover the $100,000 cost to run more trains, keep all 98 stations open for customers to exit, and other operational expenses."

Per the report, as soon as the rain poured on the area, people were instructed to take shelter for safety.

"Due to lightning in the area, we are currently under a shelter in place order," the concert venue tweeted. "Fans outside of gates and in the parking lots are asked to return to their cars. All fans inside of the stadium are asked to shelter in place under covered concourse areas and ramps until further notice."

Meanwhile, fans are complaining over the confusion and lack of communication over concert guidelines. Videos emerged on social media, showing how disoriented and confused fans were as they stood in hallways and ramps inside the FedEx Field.

Beyonce DC Concert A Chaos?

Speaking to Fox 5 Washington, a fan revealed that upon entering the gate, "it was total chaos."

"They said that we could not come in, so it was a crowd behind us, people were getting upset because they were not communicating with us," she said. "Everyone was upset, kids were crying, some of the little girls were excited... I just want FedEx to do better... Overall, though Beyoncé was fantastic, the staff was just horrible."

Aside from the chaotic management, the fan also complained of the expensive parking fares which she finds out later on that some people could park on a premium spot without paying the same huge amount she was not able to use.
